Primary Years Years 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5. Subjects* include: The Primary Years’ curriculum ensures a smooth, built-in progression from Early Years, taking concepts and themes to a more complex level. Personalized attention and effective curriculum coverage contribute toward attaining a higher level of critical thinking abilities that prepare students for transition to the Lower Secondary level by the end of this period. The Primary Years curriculum covers a wide range of theme-based units and utilizes software, implementation and specialist guides for subjects such as Art, Music, PE and ICT. The UK based International Primary Curriculum (IPC) provides a cross-curricularm thematic, rigorous teaching structure designed to engage children of all abilities in today’s world, and also meets the needs of the English National Curriculum. The academic focus of Froebel’s International School is centred on the belief that all students have the inherent ability to achieve academic excellence within a healthy and inclusive learning environment and multiple learning tools. The IPC enables students to achieve such an outcome through an activity based interactive program which eases the process of acquiring knowledge and, at the same time, promotes coping and motor skills through a sequential learning-by-doing approach. The programme is implemented by qualified, trained and empathetic teachers and provides a smooth transition to the Lower Secondary (Years 6 to 8) panel and subsequently to the IGCSE track (Years 9 to 11).
